The director of NeuroLab is professor Julien Mercier. The laboratory conducts interdisciplinary research in cognitive science involving educational psychology, cognitive and affective neuroscience, neuropsychology, psycholinguistics and computer science. The methodology is based on data concerning the functioning of the brain and the nervous system as well as behavioral data. NeuroLab’s rather unique potential is the ability to collect these data on many people at the same time as they interact.

The equipment at NeuroLab includes the following :

  • High-density electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Portable electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Eye-tracking and pupillometry
  • Portable eye-tracking
  • Emotion recognition from facial patterns
  • Hi-resolution behavioral recording (audio-video)
  • Electrodermal activity, electrocardiogram, respiration, skin temperature
